RIEDELL R3 SKATES - DERBY PACKAGE

The Riedell R3 Skate has been the skate of choice for rookie derby skaters worldwide since its introduction.

Demand for the R3 has been consistent throughout the years. Riedell have taken on board feedback from skaters worldwide and the R3 skate is now available with different wheel options and as an assembly package. The R3 assembly package allows skaters/retailers to choose the wheels they want for the skates, rather than a specified wheel from Riedell.

Riedell have created a special grade of vinyl for use on their R3 skate. This makes the skate super durable and perfect for aspiring derby skaters. To keep weight and costs to a minimum, the R3 features the popular PowerDyneThrust plate. Made from a composite material the Thrust plate offers a supportive and responsive base.

If you’re looking to get started in roller derby, there is no better option in the entry level class than the Riedell R3 Derby roller skate. A favourite with skaters since it debuted, the R3 boot features class-leading build quality – including a special grade of vinyl that is more durable than standard vinyl and a detailed boot construction process that was developed from our decades of boot-making experience. Derby is a demanding sport though, so to ready the R3 for derby use, we added black tough scuff leather toe caps to prevent abrasion, reinforced PowerDyne Thrustnylon plates for a firm base, and Sonar Aura wheels that have predictable grip, smooth roll, and excellent durability with little break in time.
